the last 7 tunes could be n any order. that said, it is w great delight i announce 'The Lowest 1 of My Desires' is the #8 n my countdown to my favourite songs i've recorded. 8 is my favourite #. this ditty is certainly among my proudest moments. while it was included on my 3rd album, 'Popular', it was conceived even b4 i recorded my 2nd, 'On The Jungle Floor'. i was on an old tour bus n Europe. missing my (then) 3 yr old son, terribly. the rest of the band was asleep. i sat w my back against the bottom edge of my bunkbed and immediately fell n2 the main guitar riff. the lick was just sittn there waitn on me. i knew it was special. leaking n2 sinister. OTJF had so many songs already so i kept 'Lowest 1' n my back pocket until the 'Popular' sessions. 'low 1' scooped and dippd and felt so fresh. it had a skin u couldn't put ur finger on. i knew if i laid n2 the lyric correctly i could squeeze evry ounce of sensuality out of it. i wantd 2 go deepr than sex and visit something primal and gorgeous. mixd by Dave Pensado.
