i invite hypnogogia - the hallucinatory, loopy state we all feel just before (and just after) deep sleep. i do this by sleeping very little, which basically assures that i am in a constant, completely natural - but intense hallucinatory state. at a certain time during this state (usually after a few days) i will receive some of the most beautiful music i have ever experienced. the music is completely new to me - and while drifting into and out of sleep i don’t recognize it as music. it is just waves of metal and clouds and other geometric shapes, which my brain translates into music. i’m n complete control of the music — the shapes, the rhythms, chord changes, etc. i can feel myself driving it, yet i do not have an emotional response to the music until after my brain processes it. that’s when i “hear” it - when coming out of a nod. it is a bit like déjà vu — where you experience reality and then your brain realigns the scenes in your mind, instantaneously (reshuffling the deck, so to speak), so that you “feel” you have lived thru the present moment before…but are convinced you have not. so, hypnogogia is happening on two levels - a subconscious state where soundwaves impress shapes upon me, materially, and then i consciously or semi-consciously try to bring order to the chaos by registering symmetry/patterns/musical notes. as you might imagine, this makes it hard to be present in wakeful life. lol. but, i do the best i can. i am willing to trade weird looks for the majestic sounds that come to me. it is from this place where i draw my richest music. the #18 song in the countdown of my favorite tunes i've recorded, 'The Fun Rises, The Fun Sets.', is one of them. you can prolly tell by the dreaminess of the textures, the chord changes that seem to hit you before they happen, the drifting rhythm. can you guess the other tunes i’ve written using hypnogogia?
lyrics
The Fun Rises, The Fun Sets.
Summer gives
And, like a kid, I took it and ran
A moment lives
And later reveals a one night stand
(chorus)
We were having fun
Oh, that’s when she said
“It’s that time of month… Can’t go on red.”
The fun rises, the fun sets
So, I begged
Can’t you kiss me on my head?
She said, “I’ll do it when you come, next year.”
Oh, the fun rises, the fun sets.
Strangers become friends and then…
Strangers again
But, no guilt trips on our field trips
No expectations and no regrets
chorus
Your strong legs
Wrapped around my chest
Sex is rough when it’s best, ’til you’re out of breath
The fun rises, the fun sets.
We were having fun
In our swimming trunks
Summer of triumph in nether regions
The fun rises, the fun sets.
Life is dead.
But, none of this was ever meant to be remembered
In post-war love
Oh, the fun rises, the fun sets.
We were having fun

Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic

in a place much worse then most music can catch in/on to, am streaming the album until the music can. have more faith in Hiatus Kaiyote as soundallies then a presenter could assume or guess. I love you all significantly, there's a mango vape, thc9 watermelon syrup and organic cigarettes if you come through however🙏🏼, I don't really have any money. BeatsaNdBuds
