we’ve reached the halfway point, and the 15th song on our countdown of my favourite songs that i’ve recorded is not just a song, it is an ode to the sketch. one could argue that i’ve released more DEMOnstration recordings than any artist n history (laughs). i love sketches. when i go to a museum i am more taken by the Degas sketches than any of the paintings. there is something about being able to fill in the space with my imagination; w out every inch spelled out 4 me. i grew up watching the detective show Columbo. 1 of the things i luvd about that show was if they had a scene involving a murder u nevr saw any blood - no bullets - no brain matter - jus a masterfully set up scene n which u knew desperation would lead 2 mayhem, and that Columbo would gracefully walk sum1 out of a psychotic state - and leave them their dignity as he drove them “downtown”. the telling of the story was n the intention, the nod, the insinuation…style...not n a ham-fist ovr the head. it was delicate, but oh-so powerful. that’s what i find with demos. w a true muse. w motivation. there can always b more. but, havn 2 articulate every nook n cranny cancels the need to find what’s n it 4 u. the #15 song is the sketch, ‘Billie’. there’s more where she comes from. go to SWARF.

Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
